I love this place. Very affordable, it offers many different rooms depending on your need. They have rooms for backpacker or solo traveller, they have ordinary hotel rooms, as well as family room. They also provide simple breakfast which my family and I enjoyed it very much. When we visited Smiths Hotel, there were 5 of us. All of us fit into 1 room which sleeps appropriately for 5. We have 1 king bed, 1 double bed, and 1 single bed. Great place!

Think backpacker hostel. Think Lonely Planet Guide. The communal areas could do with a lick of paint. The stair carpet needs replacing (stairs too, possibly) but it has clean (slightly cramped) twin rooms, good water pressure, helpful staff, and is located close to many interesting restaurants and bars. Central station is a seven minute bike ride away along excellent bike lanes and that have a downstairs space to store your bike. It's very reasonably priced.
